Committee Duties #
- Process all applications for Membership received from the Secretary-Treasurer. The Secretary-Treasurer will provide the applications electronically to the Chairperson of the committee who will then disseminate the applications to the appropriate division.
- This requires that applications for eligibility and approval are reviewed in a timely manner. Applications should NOT be held onto and should be immediately processed. A delay in final approval of Membership is unfair to our new members.
- Provide assistance and information to new Members as well as potential new Members.
- Encourage new membership
- Chairperson shall prepare a report for the Executive Committee Meetings (Annual Educational Seminar and Mid-Year) and General Business Meeting.
Distinguished Membership Applications #
- The Membership Committee will receive the Distinguished Membership application from the Secretary-Treasurer and review for accuracy and completeness. The Membership Committee will forward all received applications to the Chairperson of the Executive Committee with a recommendation for, or against, approval.
- The Executive Committee will review the applications and the recommendations of the Membership Committee (approval or denial). By majority vote, the Executive Committee will have the final say as to whether Distinguished Membership is granted or denied. In the event the application is denied, the applicant will be notified and allowed to correct any deficiencies causing the denial.
